At Çabasan, our sustainability vision aims to maintain our existence through our value model that Protects the Planet and Empowers Society, as well as with our solutions and products that Transform Life.

We see sustainability as the focal point of our operations and as a fundamental element of our business model. In line with this, we plan and carry out all our investment decisions, product, and process development efforts by considering their social and environmental impacts. We aim to spread our sustainability vision to encompass all our stakeholders across every area of our value chain, from raw material procurement to post-consumer recovery.

With the Çabasan sustainability strategy, we assess the risks affecting our core business processes with a holistic risk management approach. This approach, integrated into our company’s overall business strategy, is based on the main axes of creating lasting value, protecting natural resources, investing in people, and following technological innovations.

What is Our Approach?

Going Green is the Çabasan Sustainability Strategy, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where we commit to boldly taking responsibility throughout our value chain to achieve strong global transformation targets without leaving anyone behind.

We observe our progress every year according to the priority targets we have set based on the GRI methodology, transparently report it, and take the necessary steps accordingly.

Our company views corporate sustainability not just as a strategy but as a key element in creating lasting value for all our stakeholders. We align our business practices with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen our contributions to these goals with tangible actions. In every practice, while fulfilling our responsibility for a more sustainable future, we also lead the way in raising awareness within society.

With our commitment to sustainable development, we are determined to leave a more livable world for future generations.

Within the scope of “Going Green,” one of the three main pillars of our sustainability strategy at Çabasan, we aim to minimize the impacts on natural life, reduce waste, and use resources efficiently. In this context, we continue our activities in energy consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, water management, and using renewable energy.

Under the “Protect the Planet” pillar, we are progressing with priorities on “Climate Change,” “Water Usage,” and “Circular Production.”

In dyeing and finishing processes, all chemicals are sourced according to the ecological and worker health standards set by Europe. All dyes and chemicals are purchased after certification that they do not harm human health or the ecological balance. A chemical distribution system that automatically feeds the dyes and chemicals is used to protect employee health and the environment.

Before products are shipped to customers, they are checked in quality control laboratories to ensure compliance with the standards confirmed by the customer before order placement. ÇABASAN also places great importance on environmental protection and conducts biological treatment without using chemicals in its wastewater treatment plant. ÇABASAN Textile, which introduced a wastewater recycling system in 2019, has taken a significant step toward leaving a more livable world for future generations by reusing 75% of its wastewater.

ÇABASAN holds the OEKO-TEX certificate for products that do not contain substances harmful to the environment and health. It also holds the ISO:9001 certificate.

Aiming to use energy efficiently and improve waste management, ÇABASAN recovers waste energy through its flue gas heat recovery system, becoming a company conscious of the values we produce as a country.

ÇABASAN meets a large part of its energy needs through its investment in renewable energy sources. It uses natural gas electricity generation plants and rooftop solar energy systems to produce using renewable and natural energy sources.

Always striving for higher quality in production through modern technology and using resources efficiently, it applies production processes that consume 35% less water, dye, chemicals, and energy than conventional systems.

Beyond its business operations, ÇABASAN also engages in social responsibility efforts related to environmental awareness. During the traditional annual ÇABASAN festivals, a collaboration with TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion) resulted in each member of the ÇABASAN family owning a planted tree. This initiative will help increase the number of forests, leaving a ÇABASAN mark on the world for future generations.
